A Tulsa native, I've been at this for 20 years. As a kid while other guys were out tossing the football around, I was inside trying to time when to drop the needle on next record! Eventually played cello in the school orchestra and played the Pirate King on stage in Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates Of Penzance my senior year in high school.
I've worked at a number of the stations in the area including Rogers State University's 91.3 in Claremore, Z-104.5 back when it was Top 40 (The Hot New Z!), KTOW AM & FM, K-Hits, KVOO and KRMG. I spent about a year in the Kansas City area, launching one radio station and working as news director for another, but am glad to be back home.
I've worked in (don't hate me) telemarketing, car rental call centers, satellite television tech departments, as a mobile DJ and even in pizza delivery, but radio is an addiction I can't seem to shake. My first job was Bell's Amusement Park... I wanted to DJ the Himalaya!
I'm happily married, living in the Owasso area, no kids, three cats (Valentine, Max & Tiger). I'm an internet junkie, an electronics nut, and a silent film fan (my favorite movie is the 1926 silent German film "Metropolis"). On TV I almost don't watch network television; it's Ghost Hunters, MythBusters, & Dr. G: Medical Examiner for me.
Anything involving pastry or pasta plus a tomato based sauce, meat and cheese, I will likely eat.
