Mornings on the Edge from 6am -10am.

I'll try not to bore you with too much on my background, but trust me when I say there's no one I like talking about more than me!
I've been in radio since 1991...as a matter of fact, this has been my only radio job. I wasn't one of those guys that set a goal to get into radio, it just kinda happened. I was a club jock and started working weekends....i've worked midnight-6, afternoons, middays and now, mornings...the only shift i haven't worked, officially, is 7-midnight..but i did have to fill in for Hondo a few times, back in the day, when he worked that shift. I've been the music director, then the ass't program director, but the reality is, i really enjoy being on the air the most...i wasn't cut out to be in management....i have too much fun for all that decision making and stuff!
I lived in chicago til 3rd grade, moved to alabama til 7th grade, then we moved to tulsa in 7th grade. I'm a product of divorce and was lucky enough to have a stepdad who not only let me pursue a musical career, (he and my mom bought me my first guitar) but he also taught me a few vocational skills that have helped me make some money....(i may have fixed, detailed or painted your car!)
Music has always been a huge part of my life...my father was a professional musician (drummer/percussionist) in the chicagoland area since he was a kid, my mom has one of the sweetest singing voices you'll ever hear....i learned to play drums at a young age and have been in bands since i was in high school....(i was even drum major at berryhill....once again, not a goal...they asked me to do it) i learned to play bass guitar and did that in most of the bands i've been in..i learned to play guitar, only so i could write songs, but drums are my first true love. (if you catch me on any given night, i might even play a little harmonica) I can even run sound, but i'd rather be onstage, anyday...
When i got into radio, one of my goals was to help local musicians....we have great musicians in tulsa, and i wanted to showcase some of the bands....i helped start "homegrown" (our local music show), it's one of the things i'm most proud of in my radio career....a special thanks to paul kriegler for making it happen....
So there you go...i wish i could be more interesting, but i'm not..i'll update this site with more useless, trivial info, soon....
